A shockwave is an acoustic wave that delivers high energy to painful points and muscular tissue. This energy triggers the body's own healing mechanisms. The blood circulation is significantly improved, blood volume is increased, which speeds up the elimination of the inflammatory trigger, resulting in less inflammation and pain.
Indications for shock wave treatment:
- tennis elbow, golf elbow
- calcareous shoulder
- hip pain
- patellar tendinitis
- achilles tendon pain
- chronic ligament- joint capsule irritations, inflammations
- acute and chronic muscle pain
- certain areas of shoulder pain (bursitis or non-surgical shoulder syndromes)
- early and late rehabilitation of muscle and tendon injuries
- muscle knots that do not respond or respond poorly to massage therapy (myogelosis)
- certain foot pains (metatarsal pains)
- heel pain, heel spur
- groin pulling (adductor tendinopathy)
