„Everyone needs a little exercise”

Background:

Regular exercise is one of the most important ways to maintain and improve health. The WHO recommends that even moderate-intensity exercise several times a week makes a significant contribution to fitness, well-being and disease prevention.

Programme description:

Dynamic Yoga consists of a series of mindfully structured, flowing exercises based on the asanas of hatha yoga, with special attention to spinal health. The movements are done in synchrony with the breath, and the nature of the flow makes dynamic stretching and strengthening perfect for counteracting sedentary work. It is physically challenging but mentally relaxing.

The dynamic yoga class starts with a gentle, yet thorough warm-up that gradually moves all the joints and helps you get into the practice. Movements are matched to the slow, steady rhythm of the breath, so that mindful presence and inner focus are established from the start of the class. The attunement concludes with the Sun Salutation movement sequence.

This is followed by two easy-to-follow, mindfully structured, flow-like series of exercises. The combination of standing and supported positions not only strengthens the whole body, but also places particular emphasis on developing the core and stabilising muscles.

At the end of the class, we will conclude with stretching and guided relaxation, leaving participants feeling physically tired, but mentally refreshed, recharged and balanced. Regular exercise has a positive effect not only on the body, but also on well-being and everyday stress management.

Who we recommend: especially for those who are more interested in the physical side of yoga. No particular flexibility is required to participate. It develops strength, mobility, stamina, helps to relieve stress, and helps to deepen inner focus and achieve mind-body balance.

Date: Thursdays from 18:10 to 19:10

Location: Cacao Club Community and Youth House - 6782 Mórahalom, Röszkei út 8.

„Everyone needs a little exercise”

Background:

Regular exercise is one of the most important ways to maintain and improve health. The WHO recommends that even moderate-intensity exercise several times a week makes a significant contribution to fitness, well-being and disease prevention.

Programme description:

The “Retrobic” class is a music-based, choreographed, “party-dance-step” workout. It is a 90-minute, complex exercise programme that combines three basic forms of movement (strengthening, stretching/flexibility, cardio training) in equal proportions, which are essential for the harmonious functioning of our bodies.

It can be divided into three main parts:

  • warm-up: preparing our body for exercise,
  • main part: the most intense, dynamic phase, which must last at least 25 minutes to be effective,
  • cool down: relaxation-stretching-harmonisation, which helps to achieve a state of equilibrium and physical, mental and energetic balance.

Programme description:

Zumba is a dance fitness workout inspired by Latin music that creates a dynamic, fun and effective fitness program using Latin and international dance moves. This aerobic/fitness method is a unique blend of cardio and strength training, so it not only shapes you, but also strengthens you.

The moves require no prior dance experience and are easy to follow and learn quickly. We start the class with 8-10 warm-ups and then work our muscles in the main part of the class by dancing different choreographies, combining several dance styles such as salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton. This part makes up the bulk of the class, lasting 30-45 minutes. We end the class with a 10-minute rest, gradually lowering the heart rate and then static stretching at the end. The class lasts 50-60 minutes.

Who we recommend: For adults who want to shape their body in a party atmosphere, strengthen the glutes and legs, core muscles, abdominals and last but not least, work the most important muscle in the body, the heart.

Background:

One of the most special periods in a woman's life is carrying her child under her heart, for which she must prepare herself both physically and mentally. Pregnant women who exercise regularly generally feel better, are more balanced, have a more harmonious mood, have better stamina and gain less weight. According to them, labour and delivery are easier and they recover more quickly after giving birth.

  1. Pregnancy exercise

From the 12th week of pregnancy, prenatal exercise can do a lot for our own health and that of our baby. The aim of prenatal exercise is to help compensate for the changes that occur during pregnancy, to maintain safety by improving fitness and balance, and to create a community where expectant mothers can also recharge their batteries mentally. There is an opportunity to discuss tips for easing pregnancy and childbirth, learn breathing techniques, train pelvic floor muscles, receive lifestyle advice, and discuss any questions or concerns that may arise.

Location: Cacao Club Community and Youth House - 6782 Mórahalom, Röszkei út 8.

  1. Aquatorna with belly band (Underwater pregnancy exercise)

Move, float, relax, and cuddle your tummy to make everyday life easier during your pregnancy! The WATER (medium resistance, buoyancy, hydrostatic pressure) The beneficial effects on the body cannot be replaced on land.

As the baby grows, muscle strength can be gradually increased in an environment where the effects of gravity are reduced, making movement less stressful on the weight-bearing joints. Good physical condition can be maintained or developed, and balance can be improved, which is very important for the safety of expectant mothers and their unborn babies. It makes it easier to stretch and relax our muscles, increase joint mobility, and reduces pain in overworked parts of the body.  By compressing the muscles of the lower limbs, it aids venous return, reduces pressure in the lymphatic system, thereby refreshing circulation and reducing oedema in the lower limbs. By „compressing” the chest, it supports exhalation and makes inhalation more difficult, i.e. it improves the oxygen supply to the cells by strengthening the inhalation muscles and assisting exhalation. In addition, its beneficial psychological effects (calming, mood-enhancing) provide a positive experience and a „physical and mental” bath for the individual.

Location: Elixír Medical Wellness Hotelsuperior – 6782 Mórahalom, Millenniumi sétány 2.

  1. Mother's tower with baby

After giving birth, it can be a real challenge to attend any kind of programme without our baby, and our own interests, and often even our health, can take a back seat. After the postnatal period, we can gradually regain our “old” shape, while also setting an example for our child.

The „mother-baby” programme helps to bridge this initial period. Its aim is to rehabilitate us physically and mentally while our child sleeps, plays or discovers the world around them, adapting to their current needs. Our presence makes them feel safe, knowing that we are always there to respond to their calls. The power of community can make the early stages of parenting more colourful.

I welcome everyone who would like to recharge their batteries and do something for their health in a „baby” community every Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. at the Cacao Club. Recommended „time window”: from when your child is 6 weeks old, as long as they can be kept occupied for 30 minutes in your vicinity. What you will need: a towel, a hard ball with a diameter of approx. 6 cm, mineral water, comfortable clothing and a blanket for your baby, toys and, of course, the everyday items you need to care for your baby.

Location: Cacao Club Community and Youth House - 6782 Mórahalom, Röszkei út 8.

A programokon való részvétel ingyenes.
