In the town of Mórahalom, from 15 November 2001, outpatient specialist care will be provided by the Móra-Vitál Regional Health and Social Welfare Non-Profit Company, a non-profit company owned by the local government. Its tasks include organising and managing outpatient specialist care, establishing the operating conditions for previously funded and planned new specialist care services, and operating outpatient specialist care services. Since July 2010, its service area has covered all settlements in the Homokháti micro-region (Mórahalom, Ásotthalom, Zákányszék, Üllés, Ruzsa Öttömös, Pusztamérges, Bordány and Forráskút) for most specialist services. It also accepts patients from settlements close to Mórahalom but not belonging to the micro-region (Röszke, Domaszék).

In its long-term health policy objectives, the Municipality of Mórahalom aims at expanding the possibility of accessing specialised care locally, improving the existing ones and improving the professional equipment.As a first step, the municipality has established new specialised clinics with significant own resources, tender funds and public support. As a result of this investment, three new specialist clinics, a laboratory and their service facilities were built by autumn 2001.

The improvements have not stopped there. With the help of the DAOP - 2007- 4.1.1/B tender of the New Hungary Development Plan, the architectural works of the new Health Centre of the Sub-regional Health Centre were completed by September 2010, with the expansion of the existing infrastructure. This modern, two-storey, barrier-free clinic will house, in addition to the existing and expanding specialised services, new, previously unused services (internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics). In addition to outpatient services, the Móra-Vitál Outpatient and Spa Centre offers a wide range of medical services (also financed by the social security system), as well as wellness and fitness services.
